It has been announced that the blockbuster movie series "Predator" will be made into an animated film, "Predator: The Ultimate Predator Showdown," and will be exclusively distributed on Disney+ from June 6th. This will be the first animated film in the series.
Predator: Showdown depicts a never-before-seen story of the Predator's battle against humanity across time and across nations, pitting him against a Viking on a bloody journey of revenge with his young son in tow, a ninja from feudal Japan pitted against a samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession, and a fighter pilot taking to the skies to investigate the Allied threat in World War II.
Dan Trachtenberg, director and scriptwriter of "Predator: The Prey," will direct the film. John Davis, Mark Toberoff, and Lawrence Gordon (executive producer), who have worked on the "Predator" series, will serve as producers.
"Predator" is a science fiction action series depicting the battle between the alien Predator and humanity. The first film, "Predator," was released in 1987, and a total of seven films have been released, including crossover works.
