The 10th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00am and others) was broadcast on April 11th. Imada, who plays the main character Nobu, made a full appearance towards the end of the episode, attracting the attention of viewers.
In episode 10, Takashi (Kimura Yuuki) goes to see Tomiko ( Nanako Matsushima ) in Kochi using the address on the postcard. Takashi is overjoyed to be reunited with his mother after a long time, but Tomiko looks confused. When a middle-aged man and a girl return, Tomiko introduces Takashi as "a relative's child." The girl calls Tomiko "mother," and Takashi is shocked to learn that Tomiko has remarried.
Nobu (Yuzuna Nagase), worried about Taka's sudden disappearance, is selling Anpan with her mother Hatako ( Noriko Eguchi ) when she finds Taka collapsed on the side of the road. When Hatako hands him a sweet bean Anpan, Taka devours it. With strength welling up from the bottom of his stomach, Taka starts walking with strength.
Towards the end of the film, time has flown by and it is now the 9th year of the Showa era (1934). Nobu (Imada), now a fourth-year high school student, approaches Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) and his younger brother Chihiro (Motoki Nakazawa) on their way to school, and as she passes them she snaps, "If you walk slowly while reading manga, you'll be late! You idiots!"
Not realizing that it was Nobu, Takashi was confused and said, "You... you idiot? Wait a minute!", to which Nobu turned around and showed off a funny face. "Takashi! Chihiro! You go first! See you then!" he said with a big smile and ran off happily.
Imada's full appearance caused a stir, and "Mio Imada chan" became a trending topic on X. On social media, comments included "She brightened up the screen instantly," "She made a completely funny face," "The moment she appeared, I said 'How cute!'" and "Her carefree, cheerful and innocent appearance is the perfect look for a Asadora heroine."
