In the previous episode, the Asada family gained the strength to live after eating Kusakichi's ( Sadao Abe) Anpan. Hatako (Noriko Eguchi) starts working from home, and Kamaji (Kotaro Yoshida) and his family work hard at their stonemasons. In this way, they try to somehow get over the death of Yutaro.
Meanwhile, when Tomiko (Nanako Matsushima) doesn't come home, Takashi (Yuki Kimura) is worried, and Hiroshi (Yutaka Takenouchi) shows him a boys' magazine. Takashi's eyes light up and he becomes immersed in the world of manga. Then, one day, Meiko (Saeki Nagatani) sneaks into Kamatsuri's workshop... and so the story unfolds.
In the seventh episode, Kamaji injures his arm, and the stonemason's business doesn't go as expected. Furthermore, Hatako's side job is also gone, and Hatako and Kura (Miyoko Asada) look anxious as they peek into the rice bin. Nobu (Nagase Yuzuna) wants to do something about the Asada family, so she brings Kusakichi to her house with a certain idea.
However, Kamashige is vehemently against the plan, and Kusakichi gives up and leaves. Unable to give up, Nobu sets off once again to try and persuade Kusakichi.
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will make you feel the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobody, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
