The drama series " Taigan no Kaji ~Kore ga, Watashi no Ikiru Michi~ " (TBS, Tuesdays at 10pm) starring actress Mikako Tabe . The synopsis and stills from the second episode, which will air on April 8th, have been released.
Shiho (Tabe) supports Reiko ( Noriko Eguchi), who is overwhelmed by the task of juggling housework and work, and the two become mom friends who can talk about their worries despite being in different positions.
Just then, Shiho meets Nakatani (Dean Fujioka), a bureaucrat at the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare who is on parental leave for two years, at the park. Shiho is happy to have made her first dad friend, who is close to the age of her daughter, Ichigo (Nagai Kana), and Nakatani's daughter, Karen (Igarashi Mio). However, Nakatani is very confident in his child-rearing plan and repeatedly makes condescending remarks to Shiho, saying, "Being a full-time housewife is a luxury," and "I feel sorry for your husband."
Unlike Ichigo, who is happy to have become friends with Karen, Shiho feels uneasy and doesn't think she can become friends with Nakatani.
Shiho complains to Sakagami-san (Tanaka Misako-san), but her sadness does not go away. Nakatani, unaware of this, takes Shiho and Ichigo to the aquarium...
The show is based on the novel "Taigan no Kaji" (Kodansha Bunko) by Akeno Kayoko. It depicts the "endless work" of housework through interactions with "people on the other side" who have different positions and ways of thinking than the protagonist. This is Tabe's first lead role in the same time slot in five years since "My Housekeeper Nagisa-san" (2020).
