The entrance ceremony for Rikkyo University (Toshima-ku, Tokyo) was held on April 3rd, and was attended by cast members of the drama series "Itsuka, Hero" (ABC/TV Asahi, Sundays at Ryubi Miyase am), which will begin airing on the Neru Nagahama. The surprise, which the students had not been informed of, elicited loud cheers from the approximately 800 new students.
Kiritani smiled and congratulated them, saying, "Congratulations on your enrollment!" Looking back on the time when he was the same age as the new students, he said, "I came to Tokyo wanting to become an actor, so I just focused on what was in front of me."

Finally, Kiritani offered some encouragement to the freshmen who are finding themselves in new environments, saying, "I think many things will happen from now on. If there is something that you absolutely have to do, just think about how you can make it at least a little bit fun, and I think that will give you strength."
Kiritani stars in the drama "Someday, Hero." The story follows Akayama Seiji (Kiritani), a child welfare facility employee who has been missing for 20 years due to certain circumstances, as he confronts powerful forces with his former students who have lost hope in the world. The original work is by screenwriter Hayashi Koji, who has produced many hits such as "Hagetaka" (NHK) and the "Code Blue: Doctor Heli Emergency Lifesaving" series (Fuji TV).
