Kuro-chan's breakup from his girlfriend Richie, who he had been dating for about two years, became a hot topic. Regarding Funabashi Racecourse, which reopened on the same day, he commented, "I also just broke up with Richie and it has just been renovated." He took out the ring and said, "I bought this 1.63 million yen ring to marry Richie... here it is!" He then went on to ask for a lover, saying, "I will give this to anyone who is dating me now!"
He then made a public confession to actor Yui Okada, who was also on stage, saying, "I've met Yui-chan many times since I was little, and to be honest, I think she's cute." When Okada cried out, "No way!" Kuro-chan pushed further, saying, "You're still nervous! If we go out together, I'll give you this!", flashing a ring. Okada then flatly refused, saying, "I can earn my own money!"
Also, when asked about what aspects he would like to renew himself in reference to Funabashi Racecourse, Kuro-chan said, "I said I was going to find a new girlfriend, and my conditions for marriage were someone who could use a computer, had a driver's license, was a crazy gal, earned over 5 million yen a year, and was between 20 and 24 years old. But now that I've met Yui-chan, it's up to 25 years old! I've gone up a year in age! This is my renewal! I've changed thanks to Yui-chan!"
Funabashi Racecourse has been undergoing major renovations since 2020, and reopened on March 31. A new entrance, the Carrotta Gate, has been installed, and a grass plaza area has been created within the venue that families can use as a place to relax.
