The ninth episode of the drama series " Who saw the peacock dance in the jungle? " (TBS, Friday 10pm) starring Suzu Hirose was broadcast on March 21st. Mamiya Hiroyuki, who plays the role of former prosecutor turned lawyer Narukawa Toru, became a hot topic on social media.

In episode 8, it is revealed that the mysterious man with a carabiner attached to his backpack is Narukawa, and that he is also the father of prosecutor Anan (Takiuchi Kumi).

In episode 9, Narukawa went to the police himself and said, "I'll tell you all about the crimes I've committed," revealing that he had killed ramen stand owner Someda Susumu (Sakai Toshiya), obstetrician-gynecologist Awayama Kyoichiro (Inoue Hajime), and Takabatake Manoka (Oshima Yoko). He also confessed, "I wasn't the one who killed Yamashita Haruo (Lily Franky)."

In front of Komugi(Hirose) and the others, Narukawa, who is a frank and cheerful character, has always spoken in a high-pitched Kansai dialect. In episode 9, Narukawa instructs Someda in a low, husky voice, "Tell him that the letter was forged," and then there is a monologue in which he looks back on his past and says in a low voice, "I wonder where it all began. Where did I go astray...?"

On social media, there were many comments such as, "Last time we found out the identity of the mysterious man, and I thought the mysterious man's voice was changed like with a voice changer, but it was actually different actors playing different roles! Narukawa-san spoke at a high tempo in a high-pitched Kansai dialect, and the mysterious man had a low voice so I didn't notice at all", "Narukawa-san was so different from the Carabiner character that I was confused for a while. Regarding Mamiya's acting ability, there was widespread praise, with comments such as, "The casting for this drama is divine!
