Actor Kensaku Morita will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) on March 24th at 1pm. He is now 75 years old, but says that his physique has remained almost the same since his 20s.
Morita is known for his big hit "Saraba Namida to Iu Kou" (1971), but when he felt like giving up, he remembered the lyrics of this song and persevered. At Kuroyanagi's request, he hummed the song in the studio. He also talked about the words of his parents that nourished him in his 56-year career in showbiz, and his feelings for his parents, who both passed away at the age of 98.
He says that the secret to his good health is his wife's home cooking, and reveals that he and his wife Yoshiko, whom he has been married to for 39 years, still call each other "Ken-chan" and "Yoshi-chan."
