It has been announced that the TV anime adaptation of "Kamitsubaki City Under Construction," a project by the YouTube label "KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO," will be broadcast on TBS every Thursday at 11:56 pm starting July 3rd. It was also announced that the theatrical preview version, "Kamitsubaki City Under Construction. Witchling," will be shown for a limited time of two weeks starting June 13th. The main visual and the first main promotional video have also been released.
The story is set in the virtual city of Kamitsubaki. Seven years ago, a major disaster devastated human civilization, but the city has miraculously recovered. However, behind the prosperity, the Tesseracter, a monster born from human malice and desire, appears in the city. Five girls known as the "Daughters of the Witch" use their magical singing voices to challenge the Tesseracter.
The label's virtual artists Kafu, Rime, Harusaruhi, Isekai Jyoucho, and Sachiko will voice the "Witch's Daughter." It was also announced that Ayane Sakura will play the role of Raplas, Miyu Tomita will play the role of Hasuta, Yohei Azakami will play the role of Aguni, Shuuichirou Umeda will play the role of Anemosu, Shuichiro Umeda Toudou will play the role of Kugel, and Shizuka Ito will play the role of the Reconstruction Section Chief.
