The 120th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi " starring Kanna Hashimoto (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00am and others) was broadcast on March 21st. In the episode, Ayumi ( Riisa Naka) meets for the first time a girl named Uta (played by Oshima in a dual role), who is hospitalized with malnutrition and looks just like her best friend Maki (Miyu Oshima), who died in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. Naka's performance in that scene drew the attention of viewers.
At Yui's (Hashimoto-san) request, Ayumu repairs Shi's broken hand mirror. The mirror is from Ayumu's brand, "King of Gals," and when Ayumu sees the photo stickers attached to the mirror, he is surprised to see that Shi and Maki look alike.
In episode 120, Ayumu asks Hana (played by Chise Niitsu), who is visiting the Yoneda family, to give the repaired hand mirror to Yui. Hana then says that she became friends with Uta at the hospital, and that Uta had told her, "I have no place to live, no family, no money. There's no point in living."
Later, Yui asks Ayumu, "Can you give this mirror to me? This girl, Uta-chan, has been watching my sister's videos. I think she'll be happy with it." Ayumu looks confused for a moment, but agrees, saying, "Okay. I'll go with you."
Accompanied by Yui, Ayumu comes to Uta's hospital room and can't hide his nervousness. When Uta calls out to Ayu from the bed, "Ayu?", Ayumu remembers Maki's appearance when she was alive and shows a complex expression of surprise and agitation.
Social media rave reviews were flooded with comments about Naka's performance in this scene, such as, "It was amazing how Naka expressed Ayu's fluctuating emotions through her eyes and the way she walked," "Ayu, who met Uta-chan for the first time, looked as if she still had an open wound," "Even with the mask on, you could feel the subtle emotions of Ayu," and "I was shaken at the moment I saw her, but you could feel that I was gradually developing feelings for her (Riisa Naka...amazing...)."
