Talent Miki Fujimoto will be appearing on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 pm on March 21st.
Originally from Hokkaido, she was the youngest of four siblings and was raised by her single mother. She moved to Tokyo at the age of 16 and started living alone, fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a singer and making her debut at the age of 17. She reveals the surprising story of how she then brought her mother and grandparents to Tokyo to raise them.
She turned 40 this year. In 2009, she married Tomoharu Shoji of the comedy duo "Shinagawa Shoji," and is now the mother of three children. She struggles every day to balance work and childcare. Fujimoto, who has been gaining attention as an "ideal mother" for sharing her own child-rearing experiences, also talks about the secret to a happy marriage.
