A teaser visual for season 1, "Episode of Heartslabyul," of the anime "Disney Twisted Wonderland The Animation," based on the popular smartphone game "Disney Twisted Wonderland," also known by the nickname "Twisted," has been released. The visual shows Riddle Rosehearts, dorm leader of Heartslabyul, Trey Clover, vice dorm leader, and student Kate Diamond standing amid falling rose petals, set against the backdrop of Night Raven College under a full moon in the dark night. The visual also depicts a stone statue of the Queen of Hearts, one of the Great Seven, the "greatest beings that once existed in this world," legendary in Twisted Wonderland.
The stage event for the series, which will take place on March 22nd at AnimeJapan 2025, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo), will be streamed on YouTube, ABEMA, and Niconico Live Broadcast. Voice actors Natsuki Hanae, Seiichiro Yamashita, Chiaki Kobayashi, Noriaki Sugiyama , and Mitsuru Miyamoto will be on stage and the latest information will be announced.
"Twisted Wonderland" is set at the prestigious magician training school, Night Raven College, and features characters inspired by villains from Disney works, as well as seven dormitories inspired by the worlds of works such as "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Lion King." Yana Toboso , known as the author of the popular manga " Black Butler ," which was also made into an anime, is in charge of the original concept, main scenario, and character design.
The anime will be produced by Yumeta Company and Graphinica, with Natori Takahiro as general director and Katagai Makoto as director. In addition to season 1, season 2 "Episode of Savanaclaw" and season 3 "Episode of Octavinelle" will be produced based on the comic adaptation of the game. Season 1 will be exclusively distributed on Disney+ from October. The voice actors from the game, including Hanae as Riddle Rosehearts, Yamashita as Ace Trappola, and Kobayashi as Deuce Spade, will reprise their roles.
