It has been announced that TV Asahi's weekday late-night variety slot "Barabara Daisakusen" (Monday through Thursday at 1:58 a.m., Friday at 2:26 a.m.) will have a new lineup from March 31st, with seven new programs starting.
On Mondays, "MEGUMI Mama's Bar" (Mondays at 2:17am) and "Izawa Minamikawa's World That Doesn't Appear on Quiz Shows" (Mondays at 2:36am) will start. In "MEGUMI Mama's Bar," actor MEGUMI plays the role of "bar mama" and talks with guests about work, beauty, health, love and more. In "Izawa Minamikawa's World That Doesn't Appear on Quiz Shows," popular quiz player Izawa Takuya, who graduated from Tokyo University, and Minamikawa, who made it big after going through a variety of experiences as a comedian, including breaking up his comedy duo and working his way up the ranks, will take on quizzes in genres that aren't usually asked on quiz shows.
Two new shows will also start on Tuesdays: "Jaikiri Diane" (Tuesdays at 2:17am) and "Seiyuu Danko" (Tuesdays at 2:36am). In "Jaikiri Diane," the comedy duo "Diane" competes recklessly against tough opponents who have mastered their field in sports, martial arts, competitive eating, games, and more, aiming to win. "Seiyuu Danko" is a project show in which the comedy duo "Magical Lovely," who are huge fans of manga and anime, come up with plans to hold "an unprecedented voice actor event," and each episode features a different popular voice actor as a guest.
On Wednesdays, the time slot will begin airing its first audition documentary program, "Golden Dream" (Wednesdays at 2:36 a.m.). The program will closely follow auditions and major projects that produce the next generation of stars in various genres, including idols, artists, actors, voice actors, and talents, and will cover the passionate efforts of those who strive to make their dreams come true.
On Thursdays, the popular idol group FRUITS ZIPPER will be appearing in a new show called "FRUITS ZIPPER no NEW KAWAIItte Shiteyo?" (Thursdays at 2:17am). Through competitive planning, a ranking of the seven members will be created, and their standing within the group will become clear. Through the show, viewers will be able to learn about each member's strengths and weaknesses.
On Friday, model and TV personality Chihiro Kondo will be the MC for the first time on a regular terrestrial TV show, "Watashi Neighborhood Custom-Made Document" (Fridays at 2:43 a.m.). Celebrities will custom-make documentaries about people they are interested in, and will delve into the surprising relationships between the guests.
The three existing programs will be promoted to new timeslots. Tuesday 2:34am "Listen with your ears open!" will move to Monday 1:58am, Monday 2:15am "Clonadal" will move to Tuesday 1:58am, and Wednesday 2:34am "Mori Kasumi's All Lies TV" will move to 2:17am on the same day.
