The variety show "Yamazato Ryota and Heisei Detox" (TV Asahi, Tuesday midnight 2:54 except in some regions), hosted by Yamazato Ryota of the comedy duo Nankai Candies, was broadcast on March 4th.
The show is about letting go of the vague memories of the Heisei era, known as "Heisei complexes," in a sauna and detoxing through sweat. It will be broadcast for four consecutive weeks.
The first episode was themed "Heisei Love," and featured a guest, Hikorohi. When the topic turned to the indoor ski resort "LaLaport Ski Dome SSAWS," once a popular date spot in Funabashi, Chiba, Yamazato recalled a bitter memory of going there for the first time in high school, saying, "I got mugged right after I left the ticket gate at Minami-Funabashi."
On the topic of group dates, Hikorohi said, "Actors aren't the kind of people who drink together," to which Yamazato replied with a wry smile, "That's spicy." On the topic of trendy dramas, Hikorohi made a scathing remark, "Both Kanji and Rika are pretty painful."
The program is currently being distributed on TVer and TELASA. The second episode, which will be broadcast on the 11th, will also feature Hikorohi as a guest, and they will talk about the theme of "Heisei communication."
