The teaser visual and the first promotional video for the TV anime " You and I Are Polar Opposites, " based on the manga by Kōcha Agasawa that was serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," were released on March 4th. The teaser visual shows Tani inside a heart symbol made by Suzuki, with the tagline "I've found someone I'm interested in." The first promotional video features the caption "I want to know the complete opposite of you," and features characters including Suzuki and Tani. The eighth and final volume of the original manga was released on March 4th, and new information about the anime was announced.
The main staff was also announced, with Takakazu Nagatomo as director, Teruko Utsumi as series composition and animation producer, and Mako Miyako as character designer. The series will be produced by Lapin Track.
The work is a manga serialized in "Shonen Jump +" from May 2022 to November 2024. It is a romantic comedy that depicts the love story between Suzuki, a lively girl who can read the atmosphere, and Tani, a quiet boy who can clearly express his opinions. The total number of copies of the comics, including the digital version, is over 1.45 million. The anime will be broadcast from January 2026.
