A scene from episode 16, "Flowers Don't Choose Where to Bloom," of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 23" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9 p.m.) was broadcast on February 19th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 9.5% for households and 5.3% for individuals.
"Aibou" is a detective drama that began in 2000, in which Ukyo Sugishita (Yutaka Mizutani), a member of the Metropolitan Police Department's "Special Mission Unit," solves a number of difficult cases with his partner, using his genius mind to solve them. This will be the 10th season for the pairing of Ukyo and Kameyama Kaoru (Yasufumi Terawaki).
In episode 16, Matsui Airi and Yamatani Kasumi made guest appearances.
A male art dealer was stabbed to death. Based on the circumstances at the scene, the daughter of the Japanese painting master Toru Abukawa, and already highly acclaimed art college student Nozomi Abukawa (Matsui) emerges as a suspect. Ukyo and Kaoru begin their investigation and ask about the case from Hikari Kurata (Yamatani), a painter who the victim had recently recommended and who is the same age as Nozomi.
