Actor Sari Ito appeared at the 2025 Elan d'or Awards ceremony held in Tokyo on February 6th. The awards, which recognize actors and producers who have been active in movies and TV dramas, award the Producer's Award to Hirokazu Ozaki, star of the NHK drama series "The Tiger and Her Wings," in which Ito starred, and Ito rushed to celebrate.
Appearing as a presenter, Ito handed Ozaki a bouquet of flowers and reminisced, "I think of ' The Tiger and Her Wings' as a work that I love and will treasure for the rest of my life. It's a truly wonderful work and I love it. I loved being on set, and I always told everyone that I wanted to work on it for another two or three years."
He continued, "We all love and adore Ozaki-san, who always watched over us with warm and gentle eyes, put us all on the same level, and was considerate of us, and raised our awareness. We are truly grateful that he allowed us to come across this work."
The Elan d'or Awards are an awards system that began in 1956. This year, the Newcomer Award went to Takahashi Fumiya, Yuumi Kawai, Mizukami Koji, Shuri, Wakaba Ryuya, and Wakana Matsumoto. The Producer's Award went to Arai Junko from the movie "The Last Mile," Ozaki from "The Tiger and Her Wings," Mizuki Yuta from the movie "True Identity," Isoyama Akira and Amamiya Saeko from the drama series "Inappropriately Too Much!" (TBS), and the Special Award went to the movie "Samurai Time Slipper."
