The sixth (final) performance audition for the popular group "timelesz"'s new member recruitment audition "timelesz project" was recently held. In the final audition, the candidates were divided into two teams of four, who performed the first song of the assignment, "Rock this Party," together with the three members of timelesz. Furthermore, as the final performance, the eight candidates performed "RUN," a "song that is important" to timelesz.
"Timelo" was announced to be implemented at the same time as the group's name change from "Sexy Zone" to "timelesz" in April 2024. The total number of applicants for the first round of auditions was 18,922, and eight people who passed the first to fifth rounds of auditions, namely Michiki Hamakawa (19), Takuto Teranisi (30), Yoshitaka Hara (29), Masaki Hashimoto (25), Shudo Inomata (23), Taiki Shinozuka (22), Taimu Honda (24), and Noga Asai (17), will take on the sixth (final) round.
After watching the eight candidates perform "RUN," Sato Shori of "timelesz" said, "We also learned something from this version of RUN. While you're running, there are times when it's really tough, and times when it's difficult, but at the end of the run, there are so many people supporting you like they did today, and I think you'll be able to see a really beautiful view. I think the fact that you can see a beautiful view after you've finished running is because you started running, so I would like to thank not only these members, but all the people who took part in the audition and all those who started running. That's what RUN taught us. Thank you everyone, so much."
Fuma Kikuchi said, "It was simply the best performance of 'RUN'. When we hear 'RUN', and I'm sure it's the same for everyone else, it brings back all kinds of memories. That's about the group, it's about myself, and it's a song filled with all kinds of memories. We always perform with the belief that no one can sing 'RUN' better than us, that there is no better version of 'RUN' than us, but today's performance made me truly feel that there is no performance that can surpass it, and it was a very strange feeling. It was like our 'RUN', and yet not our 'RUN', but I think it was a wonderful performance that connected us to everyone, and also to all of you. Thank you."
Matsushima So shared his thoughts, saying, "First of all, I'd like to thank you for singing 'RUN' with all your heart, despite all the pressure you were under. Watching 'RUN' made me feel like I was graduating from all of the weaknesses and things I didn't like over the past 10 months. I'm sure that from now on, the song 'RUN' will give everyone a push, and it will become like a talisman. We are still helped in many ways by this song, and while I think of it as a timelesz song, I think it's everyone's song. It made me realize that we are all the same people after all. Each of you performed from your own angle this time. I think it was number one. Each of you shone in 'RUN'. Thank you so much for this wonderful gift."
The Typero event is currently being streamed on Netflix as "timelesz project -AUDITION-". The results of the final round will be announced on the program, which will be streamed from 10:00 am on February 15th.
