Thomas the Tank Engine:Happy Meals to be released with the 80th anniversary special "Golden Thomas" and "Gosh, Gosh! Thomas" which changes color when heated

It has been announced that the "Happy Set 'Thomas the Tank Engine'", a collaboration between the popular animation "Thomas the Tank Engine" and McDonald's children's menu "Happy Set", will be sold at McDonald's restaurants nationwide from January 17th. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the publication of the original manga, and a special version of a golden Thomas toy commemorating the 80th anniversary will be included as a bonus.

The first wave, running from January 17 to 23, will feature "80th Anniversary Special! Gold Thomas," as well as "Go, Go! Thomas," a train whose color changes when it's warmed by your hands, and "Pull! Curly," whose arms rotate 360 degrees. The second wave, running from the 24th to the 30th, will feature bonuses such as "Bubbles from the Chimney! James," which lets you play with bubbles, "Jump Out! Percy," where Percy starts running spurts when you insert the key part and press the knob, and "Go! Thomas & Sandy," a toy where panels of Thomas and Sandy pop out from the station building. The third wave, running from January 31, will feature bonuses of one of the six toys that appeared in the first and second waves.

By scanning the QR code on the toy's outer box and the toy itself with your smartphone, you can enjoy a digital game exclusive to Happy Set. The types of games you can play differ between the first and second series of toys.
