xxxHOLiC:CLAMP's dark fantasy latest work "xxxHOLiC・Moto" to resume serialization in "Young Magazine" in April

It has been revealed that the latest work of the manga creation group CLAMP's xxxHOLiC series, xxxHOLiC: Rei, will resume serialization in the 21st issue of Young Magazine (Kodansha), which will be released on April 21. This will be the first time the series has been published in about eight years, since March 2017.

"xxxHOLiC" began serialization in "Young Magazine" in 2003. The story follows Watanuki Kimihiro, a psychic high school student with the ability to see ayakashi (ghosts), who meets Ichihara Yuuko, nicknamed the "Witch of Dimensions," and gets involved in strange events while working part-time as Yuuko's assistant. In 2009, the series was renamed "xxxHOLiC: Rou" and concluded in 2011. It began serialization again in 2013 as "xxxHOLiC: Rei."

It was also adapted into a TV anime series, with the first season airing in 2006 and the second in 2008. An anime film, "xxxHOLiC: A Midsummer Night's Dream" and an OVA, "xxxHOLiC: Spring Dream Chronicle", were also produced. In 2013 it was adapted into a TV drama by WOWOW, and in 2022 a live-action film directed by Mika Ninagawa will be produced. A stage play, "Engeki Chouitan 'xxxHOLiC' -Zoku Sai-", will open on January 24th.
