Former TV Tokyo announcer and "Reiwa's Azato Queen" Mori Kasumi's signature variety show "Mori Kasumi's All Lies TV" (TV Asahi, Wednesday night at 2:34am except in some areas). In the late-night broadcast on January 8th, Mori went on a drive date with comedian Shinichi, who was a farewell guest.
After the recording, Mori-san bumped into Shinichi in the TV Asahi parking lot and asked him if he could give him a ride. Shinichi, who was all lovey-dovey, replied, "You're welcome," and invited him into his stylish mint green car. The jeep was originally a custom 1970s West Coast style jeep that had been driven by Junichi Davidson, and no other celebrity had ever given it a ride before.
The two went on a drive date from TV Asahi in Roppongi to Shibuya. Shinichi, who has been reported to be dating seven women in the past, excitedly said, "It's impossible for me not to be aware of Kasumi Mori," and on the way, he bought her a hot drink at a convenience store and surprised her by giving her a bouquet of flowers, making her happy.
During the drive, they also had serious talk about work. When Shinichi asked "Do you ever get depressed talking about serious things (in the industry)?", Mori replied "No, I don't really mind." She added, "The longer a woman has been in the entertainment industry or has had a long career...the kinder she is!", naming Rino Sashihara, Chinatsu Wakatsuki, and First Summer Uika, and thanking them for "understanding my character, and giving me the opportunity to talk by throwing a line at me when it seems like I can talk, or deliberately criticizing me."
The topic of "when to quit the entertainment industry" also came up, and Mori calmly analyzed that "there will come a time when the demand will no longer exist," and added, "There is a high turnover rate among announcers, but as long as there is demand, I want to continue."
The program is available to watch on TVer, ABEMA, TV Asahi Catch Up, and TELASA.
