"ARIA" is based on a manga that was serialized in the manga magazine "Monthly Comic Blade" (Mag Garden, currently out of publication) from 2002 to 2008. Set in a town modeled after the water city of Venice, it depicts the protagonist, Akari Minami's daily training as she aims to become a full-fledged guide at the ARIA Company, as well as her interactions with her friends and seniors. The first season of the TV anime aired in 2005, the second in 2006, and the third in 2008, and an original video animation (OVA) was also produced.
As a "blue curtain call," the animated film "ARIA The AVVENIRE" was released in 2015, and "ARIA The CREPUSCOLO" and "ARIA The BENEDIZIONE" were released in 2021, which also became a hot topic.
