It has been announced that "Fermat no Ryori", the latest work by Yugo Kobayashi, who is known for the soccer manga "Aoashi", will be made into an anime. Details of the anime will be announced in the future.
"Fermat no Ryori" is a manga that has been serialized in "Monthly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since September 2018. The story is about a genius mathematician, Kitada Gaku, who gave up on his dream of becoming a mathematician, and the mysterious culinary charismatic Asakura Kai, who challenges the truth of the culinary world crowded with talent. Four volumes of the comic have been released so far. A drama series starring actors Takahashi Fumiya and Jun Shison was also broadcast on TBS from October to December 2023, which became a hot topic.
Kobayashi, the original author, commented, "Fermat's Cooking is being made into an anime. Just like when it was made into a TV drama, I am filled with gratitude and surprise that they chose this work, which only has a small number of volumes. This is the second time in my life that it has been made into an anime, so this time I will watch it every week with a sense of calm. I hope that many people will get hungry after watching it late at night and reach for a midnight snack!"
