The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen(General TV and others) will be broadcast live from 7:20 pm on December 31st at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo. The first act will be "ME:I" from the Red Team. The final act will be Masaharu Fukuyama from the White Team, and the grand finale will be MISIA from the Red Team. The timetable has also been announced.
The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks) under the theme of "Songs for You". The hosts will be Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Sari Ito, and NHK announcer Naoko Suzuki.
This year, the performers of the Red and White Song Battle will gather on stage to sing the famous song "A Gift Without a Stamp" to kick off the show. The song will be arranged by Ryo Konishi, who is a music producer and musician with a wide range of activities.
The first appearance will be by 11 groups, including ME:I. The lineup includes B'z, Number_i, Creepy Nuts, Da-iCE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, ILLIT, Omoinotake, Kocchi no Kento, tuki., and Shinhama Leon. B'z will perform "Illumination," the theme song for the currently airing Asadora drama "Omusubi."
Other notable appearances include THE ALFEE for the first time in 41 years, Iruka for 32 years, and GLAY for the first time in 25 years. Also of note are Kana Nishino, who will be performing on TV for the first time since resuming activities, and Koji Tamaki, who will be singing Anzenchitai's classic song "Sayonara Kanashimi" for the first time in 39 years at the Kohaku Uta Gassen as part of a special project.
