Enka singer Keisuke Yamauchi appeared at the rehearsal for the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen(NHK General TV and others) held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 29th. He expressed his desire to appear in the currently airing Asadora drama "Omusubi" (NHK General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 am and others).
Yamauchi is from Itoshima, Fukuoka Prefecture, one of the settings for "Omusubi." "I never thought my hometown would be the setting. With the 25th anniversary of my debut as a singer coming up next year, I feel soothed every morning seeing the scenery of my hometown like this. I think of this production as a reward for myself for working hard for the past 24 years," she said.
He continued, "I'd like to appear in one more, but I haven't done one yet. I'd be happy to appear in any role."
The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks). Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Sari Ito, and announcer Naoko Suzuki will be the hosts.
