The three-member band "THE ALFEE" appeared at a rehearsal for the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen(General and other channels) held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 28th.
This is THE ALFEE's second time participating after 41 years. Takamizawa Toshihiko said with confidence, "This is practically our first time participating, so we want to go in with a fresh, youthful feeling!"
Sakazaki Konosuke said, "It's been 41 years since we last performed, so we want to give it all we've got from those 41 years. It's the band's 50th anniversary, so we want to show what it's like to have 50 years of continuity."
Choosing "old" as the kanji of the year, Takamizawa said with a laugh, "I'm 70 years old now, so my band is old too. Its value will increase! From now on!"
The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks). Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Sari Ito, and announcer Naoko Suzuki will be the hosts.
