It has been announced that the performance "Under a Secret Rose" by rock band BUCK-TICK, held at Nippon Budokan (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on December 29th, will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in March 2025.
BUCK-TICK overcame the great loss of their frontman, Atsushi Sakurai, who passed away suddenly in October 2023, and has begun a new path with two guitarists, Hisashi Imai and Hidehiko Hoshino, taking on the role of vocalist. They released their new album, "SUBROSA," on the 4th of this month. Starting on the 6th, they held a tour exclusively for fan club members.
The end-of-year concert at the Budokan has been a tradition since 2000, and it is a special live performance that has been held even during the COVID-19 pandemic, except for 2019 when the venue was moved to the National Yoyogi Stadium First Gymnasium due to renovation work. This year's concert was announced as a surprise after the end of "Bakuchiku Phenomenon-2023" at the end of 2023. The name of the concert, "Under the Secret Rose," is a reference to the title of the new album, "SUBROSA.'' "SUBROSA'' literally translates to "under the rose,'' an idiom meaning "secret."
