An event for the TV anime " My Hero Academia ," based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), was held on December 22nd as part of "Jump Festa 2025" at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City), with the original author Horikoshi sending in a message.
The original manga came to an end in August with the final chapter in Weekly Shonen Jump, bringing the curtain down on its 10-year run. Horikoshi shared his gratitude to fans and shared his recent developments. At the event, it was announced that the eighth season, the final chapter of the TV anime, "FINAL SEASON," will be broadcast in the fall of 2025, and that the official spin-off "Vigilante: My Hero Academia ILLEGALS" will be made into a TV anime. Horikoshi commented, "I look forward to the day when I can cheer them on together with everyone."

Appearing at the event were Daiki Yamashita , who plays Deku ( Izuku Midoriya ), Nobuhiko Okamoto , who plays Katsuki Bakugo , Yuki Kaji , who plays Shoto Todoroki , and Kenta Miyake , who plays All Might .
" My Hero Academia" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in July 2014, and the final episode aired in August, bringing the curtain down on its nearly 10-year run. Set in a world where about 80% of the population has supernatural powers and quirks, the series follows Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.
