The eighth episode of the TV anime "The Blue Wolves of Mibu," based on a manga about the Shinsengumi by Takeshi Yasuda, who is also known for the soccer manga "DAYS," titled "Palm," will be broadcast on the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV network at 5:30 pm on December 7th.
Sosuke, the last of the "Five Devils" assassins attacking the Aizu clan, was running for his life. One of his companions had been killed, and none of the others had shown up at the appointed location. "Could it be that everyone was caught?" he thought, anxiously, trying to escape the city of Kyoto as quickly as possible. Miburo cornered Sosuke. Provoked by Kondo, Sosuke decided to challenge Nio to a contest. Nio suggested, "If I win, you'll be caught quietly. If you win, I'll let you escape."
"The Blue Wolves of Mibu" has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since 2021. Set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, it depicts the life of the Shinsengumi. The anime will be directed by Kumiko Habara, who has worked on "I'm Standing on a Million Lives," and produced by MAHO FILM.
