TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Town Heaven" (Saturday 9:00 pm) will feature the area around Keihin Kyuko Line's Tachiaigawa Station (Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo) on its December 7th broadcast.
Tokyo City Keiba (Oi Racecourse), located near Tachiaigawa Station, is hosting the Tokyo Mega Illumination 2024-2025, the largest illumination event in Tokyo. The program will introduce the highlights of the event, including the cherry blossom tunnel and fountain show.
In addition, we will visit a super cheap gyoza shop where children's drinks are free and sour drinks are 10 yen, fried eggs covered in a mysterious powder, motsuyaki, a specialty of stewed tofu, and the "bamboo shoot rice cracker," a specialty of the old Tokaido road. We will also visit the remains of a battery built by the Tosa clan when the black ships arrived, and a long-established 100% buckwheat soba restaurant founded at the end of the Edo period.
There are also local factories in the area that do things like plating, metal processing, and whetstones, and we will also introduce some of the cool bars in this factory town.
The guests are former Japan women's national soccer team member and talent Karina Maruyama, and Shunsuke Ito of the comedy duo "Oswald."
