The anime will be directed by Satou Akira and produced by Production IG. Miyano Mamoru will play Kinnikuman, with Uesaka Sumire as Meat-kun and Ono Daisuke as Terryman. Season 1 was broadcast on "Agaru Anime" from July to September. "Kinnikuman" is a popular fighting manga by "Yudetamago" that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1979 to 1987. It depicts Kinnikuman, the useless prince of Planet Kinniku, fighting evil supermen together with righteous supermen. The sequel, "Kinnikuman II", began serialization in "Weekly Playboy" (Shueisha) in 1998.
