Naoto Takenaka will appear on the November 28 episode of "Tetsuko's Room"

Actor Naoto Takenaka will appear on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) on November 28th at 1pm for the first time in seven years. About 40 years ago, he first became famous as a comedian. Why did he make his debut as a comedian, when he had dreamed of a career in film since his university days? He smiles wryly at footage of his appearances on variety shows at the time, revealing how he felt at the time, saying, "I cried every day." He lost his mother when he was in high school. After that, his father continued to live alone, saying, "I didn't want to leave my beloved Yokohama," and he was in good health until he passed away last year at the age of 95. He was only hospitalized due to poor health for two months before he passed away. His father, who had prepared himself for death, had neatly organized his belongings at his parents' house. He says that he cherished the last time he spent with his father in the hospital.
