73-year-old actor Nami Etsuko will appear on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), broadcasting at 1 pm on November 26th.
17 years ago, at the age of 56, she remarried for the third time. She says the secret to a happy marriage is "domestic separation" and her beloved rescue dog Cookie. The couple enjoys going to inns where they can stay with their dog, but sleeping in the same room... Now that they are over 70, they have begun to think about preparing for the end of their lives.
She says that she had undergone surgery for bunions four years ago, which she had endured for over 40 years, and that it was very comfortable. In May of this year, she fell while walking her dog, and when she woke up, a bone was sticking out of her right wrist. She was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and underwent emergency surgery, and when she woke up, four rods were sticking out of her wrist. She recalls that with a distal radius fracture, she was unable to do anything with her right hand, which is her dominant hand, and that she was left in the care of her husband after being discharged from the hospital.
