It has been revealed that manga artist Yama Yama's popular works "Let's go to karaoke!" and "Captivated, by You" (both published by KADOKAWA) will be made into TV anime. It was also announced that Doga Kobo, known for the TV anime "Oshi no Ko", will produce the anime. The teaser visuals for the two works and a PV in which the main cast of the anime will be in charge of the title call have also been released. The cast will be announced at a later date.
Wayama commented, "I'm very happy that it's being made into an anime! As a viewer, I'm looking forward to the broadcast." To commemorate the anime's adaptation, a campaign will be held on the official X (Twitter) account to give away autographed comics by Yama Yama and other prizes.
"Let's go to karaoke!" is a popular work that has been ranked third in the "Manga Taisho 2021" and other manga awards, and the cumulative number of comics published has exceeded 1.3 million copies. Chorus club captain Oka Satomi is suddenly invited to karaoke by yakuza Narita Kyoji and asked to give him singing lessons... The story depicts the strange relationship between two people who meet through karaoke. A live-action film starring actor Go Ayano was released in January this year and has attracted over 530,000 viewers.
"Captivated, by You" is an omnibus that depicts the human drama unique to adolescence. It is made up of four stories that focus on Hayashi Mira, a mysterious and attractive second-year high school student attending an all-boys school, and four stories about Nikaido Akira, a second-year high school student who makes a "reverse high school debut" in search of a peaceful daily life as a reaction to being too popular in junior high school. A TV drama series starring Onishi Ryusei of the popular group Naniwa Danshi was broadcast in 2021. The comics have sold over 500,000 copies in total.
