The NHK morning drama series "Omusubi" starring Hashimoto Kanna will be broadcasting its third week, "What is a Dream?" on the 15th episode on October 18th.
Yui (Hashimoto) guides a lost woman to her destination, only to discover she is the mother of Yotsugi Shoya (Sano Hayato), a high school baseball player living in a dormitory in Itoshima.
When she gets home, Masato (Kitamura Yukiya) suddenly asks her what she would do if the family returned to Kobe. Yui is unable to think straight and replies that she doesn't know. The next day, as she is gazing at the sea at the harbor after school, Shoya comes over and tries to give her some strawberries from Tochigi as a thank you for the day before.
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who, with a "gal spirit" that values being true to herself at all times, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist. It is an original work by screenwriter Nemoto Nonji, known for NHK's drama "Shojiki Real Estate," among others.
