The L-Gaim Mk-II figure, "HI-METAL R L-Gaim Mk-II" (Bandai Spirits), which appears in the popular anime series "Heavy Metal L-Gaim" that was popular mainly in the 1980s, was exhibited at the "62nd All Japan Model Hobby Show," a model exhibition being held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo).
The figure is a completely new design, and features composite materials such as ABS and die-cast, unique to "HI-METAL R," and rigid joints. It has a gimmick that allows it to transform into a Prowler, a feature of the Mk-II.
In addition to a buster launcher that is 31.5 cm in length, it comes with weapons such as a power launcher, and an interchangeable head part that recreates the damage it received in the final battle. The buster launcher has a sliding gimmick. It also has a gimmick that allows it to be linked with the separately sold "HI-METAL R L-Gaim." It stands about 23.5 cm tall. It is priced at 29,700 yen. Reservations are being accepted until 4pm on October 13th on Bandai Namco Group's official shopping site, Premium Bandai. Shipment is scheduled for March 2025.
The 62nd All Japan Model & Hobby Show will be held on October 11th, with the exhibition open to related parties, and the 12th and 13th open to the public. Tickets are 1,200 yen on the day and 1,000 yen in advance. Free for junior high school students and younger.
