Kanna Hashimoto stars in the NHK morning drama series "Omusubi" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others) which will air in the second half of 2024. The second week, "What is a Gal?", will begin on October 7th.

Yui (Hashimoto) joined the calligraphy club and, under the guidance of her admired senior, Kazami (Matsumoto Reo), she begins to enjoy calligraphy.

Meanwhile, on weekends, she secretly hangs out with the gals, without telling her family or school. Meanwhile, Hagaren (Hakata Gals Alliance) announces that they will dance Para Para at an event in Itoshima, and as the younger sister of the charismatic first representative, Yui is forced to participate.

Yui, who never intended to become a real gal in the first place and can't even dance Para Para, is tired of being compared to her older sister, Ayumu (Naka Riisa).

"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who, with a "gal spirit" that values being true to herself at all times, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist. It is an original work by screenwriter Nemoto Nonji, known for NHK's drama "Shojiki Real Estate," among others.
