It has been announced that Echigoya Kosuke and Takeuchi Shunsuke will be appearing as voice actors in the TV anime "Puniru is a Cute Slime," which is based on Maeda-kun's romantic comedy manga currently being serialized on Shogakukan's manga magazine "CoroCoro Comic"'s manga site "Weekly CoroCoro Comic." Echigoya will play Hone-chan, a classmate of Kotaro, and Takeuchi will play Go-yan, another classmate. Scenes from the first episode, "I Hate You and I Love You," have also been released. They depict Puniru melting with a "Topun" sound, and Puniru turning into a gal with a "Gyarun" sound.
Echigoya commented, "The world of Puniru drawn by Maeda-kun sensei is full of cute yet sharp gags that both adults and children can enjoy! I will cherish my encounter with Hone-chan and do my best to act in a way that does not destroy everyone's feelings as much as possible. I send this to all my heartfelt friends. Please listen to 'Go-yan!!'" Takeuchi commented on his impression of the work, "It has a lively and pop style, and I'm full of excitement. When I watch the work, I think, "Oh, I never thought of that!" The gags are fresh and amazing, and they're the best," and he expressed his enthusiasm for playing Go-yan, saying, "I want to continue loving Hone-chan." The work is a manga that depicts the exciting life of the main character, a boy named Kotaro, and his slime Puniru, who he created. Kotaro is thrown into a tailspin by Puniru's free-spirited behavior and words, after she transforms into an incredibly beautiful girl with her shape-shifting body.
