It has been announced that a theatrical version of the TV anime "Senpai wa Otoko no Ko", based on the manga serialized by Pom on the web manga service "LINE Manga", will be produced and released on February 14, 2025. The movie will be titled "Senpai wa Otoko no Ko Ame no Chi Hare" and will be a sequel to the TV anime. A teaser visual was also released, depicting a crying Aoi Emi, Hanaoka Makoto and Oga Ryuji reflected in her eyes.
"Senpai wa Otoko no Ko" is a manga that depicts the human drama surrounding a "male daughter" who loves cute things. One day, Hanaoka Makoto, a male daughter, is confessed to by a junior girl, Aoi Emi, who mistakes him for a girl. The popular work was serialized from December 2019 to December 2021 and was voted number one in the "5th Manga Ranking to be Animated" voting project by "AnimeJapan". The prequel "Deai Hen" is being serialized on "LINE Manga".
The TV anime began airing in July on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina," with the final episode airing late on September 26th.
