The main cast of the drama series "Sky Castle" (TV Asahi, Thursday 9pm) - Matsushita Nao, Kimura Fumino, Higa Manami, Takahashi Maryjun and Koyuki - have wrapped up filming. The five, who fought a fierce battle in the drama, were able to let out the smiles they had been hiding away as they reached the final day of shooting.
Koyuki was the first of the five to wrap up filming. In the drama, she plays an eerie entrance exam coordinator who continues to operate in the shadows, and when Matsushita presented her with a bouquet of flowers, she gave him a big smile and hugged him. She then said cheerfully, "It was an unusual drama, but thank you for the valuable experience (because of that). It was fun."
All four of the actors who played celebrity wives - Matsushita, Kimura, Higa and Takahashi - have finished filming. Matsushita, who played the main role, said, "The role was challenging in many ways, but I was able to perform in various ways from the same perspective as all the wonderful actors, and it has become a treasure for me. From tomorrow, I will never be able to smile without a smile in my eyes... it's a little sad to think about it (laughs). I have no regrets! Now I can relax and watch until the final episode." She greeted the audience with a sense of fulfillment. Immediately after, she shouted "Yay!" and cheered, and expressed her joy and gratitude for the wrap-up with a light-hearted dance.
Higa, who played a role that boldly confronted her abusive husband, said, "I broke down the wall (of the study room my husband built for our son), I destroyed the pyramid (model) (which my husband treasures)... I was able to find a new side of myself thanks to playing this role (laughs). Thank you for allowing me to experience so many things!" she said with a smile full of accomplishment.
The drama will air its final episode on September 26th.
