"Omusubi" is the NHK morning drama series starring Kanna Hashimoto, which will begin airing in the second half of 2024 on September 30th. Tamatchi is a member of the "Hakata Gal Union" (abbreviated as Hagaren). She has loved dancing since she was a child, and in Hagaren, she is in charge of the Parapara choreography. She is a straightforward type who does not approve of things that do not follow the rules.
Tanito, who plays Tamamatchi, is 25 years old and was born on September 22nd, 1999 in Tokyo. She is a former member of the idol group "KissBee," and was selected for the role from the largest "young talent audition" to date. This is her first time appearing in a morning drama.
◇A morning drama starting in the Heisei era for the first time in four works: who will sing the theme song and narrate it?
The drama is an original work by screenwriter Nemoto Nonji, known for NHK's "Honest Real Estate," among others. The theme song is "Illumination" by "B'z," and is said to be a song that will powerfully liven up the world of the story, in which the protagonist encounters gal culture.
The main story will be narrated by illustrator and actor Lily Franky, and the Saturday edition will be narrated by the station's announcer Takase Kozo. This will be the first morning drama to be set mainly in the Heisei era, since "Maiagare!" in the second half of 2022.
The drama will be broadcast on NHK General TV from September 30th, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 a.m. and other channels.
