It has been announced that the movie version of the anime "Me and Roboco," based on the popular comedy manga by Shuhei Miyazaki currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), will be released on April 18, 2025. The film was originally scheduled to be released in winter 2024, but the release date has been changed to improve the quality. The second super teaser visual was also released, with the tagline "The Roboco movie will... evolve one step further."

Miyazaki, the original author, commented, "The release of the movie version of 'Me and Roboco' will be delayed a little. I'm sorry to those who were looking forward to it, but please wait a little longer. However, I have heard that the Ultra Fighting Miracle Bomber will be of high quality instead! It is said to be just as interesting as "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train," so if you went to see Demon Slayer, you should definitely go see Roboco to see if that's true. I promise."

Akitarou Daichi, who will be directing the TV anime, said, "It's been a while since I last made a movie, so I'm really excited. Roboco is super cute, cool, and it's going to be a funny movie. There are a few jokes here and there that feel like you've seen them somewhere before☆ We'll keep you waiting for a little while, but please look forward to it."

"Me and Roboco" began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2020. Set in the year 20XX, when every household has a beautiful maid robot, the story depicts the comical daily life of Roboco, a maid robot with unconventional behavior, and Bond, a kind-hearted boy. The comic has sold a total of about 1.5 million copies.

The TV anime stars Matsuo Shun of the comedy duo Chocolate Planet as Roboco, with voice actors Tsuda Minami, Okiayu Ryutaro, Takeuchi Shunsuke, M.A.O, Hiratsuka Sae, and Mitsuishi Kotono also appearing. The series was directed by Daichi, known for his work on anime series Ojarumaru and Sexy Command Gaiden: Sugoi yo!! Masaru-san, and is also known as a "master of comedy anime." It aired from December 2022 to June 2023.
