The first key visuals for the TV anime adaptation of "Utagoe wa Mille-feuille," a music project with themes of "a cappella," "high school girls," and "complexes," have been released. The visual features members of the Temarisawa High School A cappella Club, with the electric wires in the background resembling musical staves and the cherry blossoms resembling musical notes, creating a gorgeous visual that evokes a feeling of "beginning." The main staff for the TV anime have also been announced, with Takuya Sato, who has worked on "Steins;Gate" and "Strawberry Marshmallow," serving as general director. The anime will be produced by Jumondou, who has worked on "This Healer is Annoying" and "The Villainess Level 99." It was also announced that the project's fifth single will be released on January 22, 2025. The B-side will include a six-person version of Maaya Sakamoto's "Platinum," which she performed as a backing vocalist for Nao Toyama at "Animelo Summer Live (Anisama) 2024 -Stargazer-," held at Saitama Super Arena (Chuo Ward, Saitama City) from August 30 to September 1.
"Utagoe wa Mille-feuille" is the story of Komaki Ukika, a high school freshman who loves to sing but is extremely shy. She tries to join the light music club when she starts high school, but is afraid of the aura of the sparkling members and is unable to submit her entry form. However, she is invited to join the a cappella club by the club president, Airi Furushiro... This is the story of the youth of the a cappella club, which is filled with unique, or strange, people, to put it in a positive way. The TV anime will be broadcast in 2025.
