Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+" celebrated its 10th anniversary on September 22nd. To commemorate the 10th anniversary, it was announced that 10 major projects will be implemented, including events, manga awards, and radio program broadcasts. As one of the projects, a "10th Anniversary Movie" using visuals from popular works such as "SPY×FAMILY" was released on YouTube.
The radio program "Jump+ Radio" (Nippon Cultural Broadcasting) will be broadcast every Sunday at 7:30 pm from October 6th. Popular voice actor Toshiki Masuda will serve as the MC, and from the second episode onwards, popular authors currently serializing their works will appear as guests. The program will also be distributed as a podcast. A special exhibition called "Shonen Jump+ Exhibition," which will display original drawings and videos from "Shonen Jump+" works, will be held in Tokyo in the spring of 2025, and the "Shonen Jump+ 10th Anniversary Manga Award," the largest manga award in the app's history with a total prize of over 10 million yen, will be held.
Four one-shot collections of 20 carefully selected gems from the one-shots published in the app will be released this winter. A special website has also been created to introduce over 1,000 one-shots published over the past 10 years from various angles, and will be launched in October.
The pop-up event "#JumpPlus365" will be held at ZeroBase Omotesando (Minato-ku, Tokyo) from October 17th to 28th. In commemoration of the 10 years of daily manga distribution, 365 types of acrylic key chains will be available for 365 days of the year. The acrylic key chains feature characters from serialized works, and if you press the "real 'I Like It' button" installed at the venue 10 times in a row, you will receive one type per person. Plans for 10th anniversary goods are also underway.
As a "Shonen Jump+" limited project, a campaign will be held in which more than 20 popular titles, such as "SPY×FAMILY," "Kaiju No. 8," and "Tacopi no Gensin," will be made available for free for one day only. The period is from October 9th to 18th. Online bookstores including "Shonen Jump+" will be making the opening volumes of over 280 titles, such as "Karada Sagashi," "Akuma no Memmem-chan," and "Ayakashi Triangle," available for free from September 22nd to October 21st.
A "Watch the ad and support the author" campaign will also be held from September 22nd to October 13th. At the end of a story of an original serialized work on "Shonen Jump+," click the "Watch a video ad and support the author!" button to watch the ad, and a portion of the advertising sales will be returned to the author.
"Shonen Jump+" began service on September 22nd, 2014. Over 70 original works are serialized, and users can also subscribe to the digital version of "Weekly Shonen Jump" and Jump Comics. It has been downloaded over 28 million times.
