It has been announced that "JAZZ NOT ONLY JAZZ," which was held in June at NHK Hall (Shibuya, Tokyo) by jazz drummer Shun Ishiwaka's next-generation band "The Shun Ishiwaka Septet" and guest musicians, will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW from 4pm on September 23rd. In addition to the full performance, the show will also feature interviews with the performers and behind-the-scenes footage.
In "JAZZ NOT ONLY JAZZ," Ishiwaka's specially organized band performed with artists from across generations and genres, including former girl group BiSH member Aina the End, pianist Hiromi Uehara, singer-songwriter Trio Ohashi, music unit Original Love's Takao Tajima, rapper PUNPEE, and singer-songwriter Yasuyuki Horigome. The one-night session was held at NHK Hall on June 21st.
WOWOW will broadcast and stream the performance on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand from 4pm on September 23rd, titled "JAZZ NOT ONLY JAZZ Special Edition." It will also feature interviews with Ishiwaka and the other artists, as well as behind-the-scenes footage. A headphone immersive audio commentary version, which optimizes the 3D sound for headphones, will also be broadcast.
In addition, WOWOW's official YouTube account has released a new full version of "Naima" (John Coltrane) performed by The Shun Ishiwaka Septet from the main program.
