It has been announced that Toyoshima Kokoro, who is active as an actor and gravure idol, will appear in the live-action drama "Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru (Kise Koi)" (MBS/TBS), which is based on the popular manga by Fukuda Shinichi. Toyoshima will play the role of Inui Shinju, the younger sister of Inui Sasuka who works as a cosplayer. It was also announced that Ikeda Akana will play the role of Inui Sasuka, Shiozaki Taichi will play the role of Amano Chitose, and Yamada Akikyo will play Gojo Kaoru, Gojo Niina's grandfather.
Toyoshima commented, "I read both the original manga and the anime, so I was very happy when I heard about this role. I think it takes a lot of courage to confess your feelings and what you like to others, but when I read the script, I felt that this is a work that sincerely affirms those feelings and what you like. I want people to see how Shinju, who is conflicted about what to do if her feelings are rejected because of her great love for her older sister Juju, tries to break out of her shell. I also tried it for the first time, so I hope you enjoy that scene."
"Kise Koi" has been serialized in the magazine since 2018. It is a romantic comedy that depicts the love between Gojo Niina, a high school boy who is training to become a head maker who makes faces for Hina dolls, and Kitagawa Marin, a gal and cosplayer who loves anime and games. The comics have been released up to volume 13, and the total number of copies published is over 11 million. The TV anime will be broadcast from January to March 2022, and it has also been announced that a sequel will be produced.
The drama will feature Nomura Kota as Gojo Niina and Nagase Riko as Kitagawa Marin. It will start airing on MBS and TBS's "Dramaism" late at night on October 8th. MBS will air every Tuesday at 12:59am, and TBS at 1:28am.
