It has been announced that the theatrical anime film "Blue Lock: Episode Nagi" (directed by Ishikawa Shunsuke), based on the spin-off "Blue Lock: Episode Nagi," a soccer manga serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) with popular character Nagi Seishiro as the protagonist, will be broadcast on TV Asahi from 10pm on October 5th. From the second episode of the second season onwards, it will be broadcast every Saturday at 11:30 pm on TV Asahi's anime slot "IMAnimation". "Blue Lock -EPIOSODE Nagi-" has been serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (same publisher) since June 2022. The story is about how Nagi Seishiro, who has extraordinary soccer skills, meets Mikage Reo, the heir to the large Mikage Corporation, and they start playing soccer together with the goal of winning the World Cup. The animated film was released on April 19th and was a hit, grossing 1.8 billion yen and attracting an audience of over 1.32 million people.
