It has been announced that a new anime, "EP24.5: Rain Fragment -The Penultimate Truth-", will be produced for the original robot anime "Aldnoah.Zero" that aired from 2014 to 2015. It will be included in a Blu-ray Disc (BD) box set to be released on March 26, 2025, 10 years after the broadcast of the final episode.
The BD box set will include all 24 episodes of the TV anime, as well as a special booklet and setting materials collection. It will cost 38,500 yen. It was announced at the online event "Aniplex Online Fest 2024" held on September 16.
The original robot anime is directed by Ei Aoki and the story is written by Gen Urobuchi. It depicts a boy and girl who become embroiled in a war between Earth and Mars. The first season aired from July to September 2014, and the second season from January to March 2015.
