It has been announced that an anniversary project will be implemented to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the TV anime "Chibi Maruko-chan," based on the popular manga by Momoko Sakura. The 35th anniversary logo has been released, featuring Maruko in a red dress holding a bouquet of flowers. As the first part of the 35th anniversary project, a cafe will be opened in collaboration with Sunday Brunch Shimokitazawa (Setagaya Ward, Tokyo), and goods using cuts from the early anime will be released.

The collaboration cafe will offer a limited menu commemorating the 35th anniversary of the anime from September 18th to October 31st. The lineup will include "Maruko and Hamburger Steak" (3,300 yen), "Maruko's Cod Roe Pasta" (3,080 yen), and "Maruko's Pudding Parfait" (2,970 yen), which express Maruko's charm.

The 35th anniversary goods will be on sale from September 14th at four Kiddyland stores, including Kiddyland Harajuku (Shibuya Ward, Tokyo), Chibi Maruko-chan Land (Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City), and Fuji TV Shop Fujisan stores, under the title "35th Anniversary of the Animation 90's CHIBI MARUKO CHAN Fair."

"Chibi Maruko-chan" began serialization in Ribbon (Shueisha) in 1986. Set in Shimizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture (now Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture), the story depicts the daily life of Maruko (Sakura Momoko), the second daughter of the Sakura family and a third-grader in elementary school, as well as her family and friends. The TV anime began in January 1990.
