The nonstop suspense movie "The Last Mile," a "shared universe" nonstop suspense movie that crosses the world lines of the dramas "Unnatural" (2018) and "MIU404" (2020), directed by Ayuko Tsukahara and written by Akiko Nogi, was released on August 23rd and has exceeded 3 billion yen in box office revenue in 17 days. It has been a huge hit, with an audience of over 2.13 million people.

The story is about an explosion of a cardboard box delivered from the Kanto Center of a global shopping site on the night before "Black Friday," one of the largest events in the distribution industry, which eventually develops into a series of explosions that terrify all of Japan. Hikari Mitsushima plays Funato Erena, the director of the Kanto Center of the shopping site where the incident takes place, and Masaki Okada plays Nashimoto Akira, the team manager of the center who is constantly being pushed around by Elena but is working hard to solve the incident.

There is also buzz that cast members from the two dramas, including Satomi Ishihara from "Unnatural" and Go Ayano and Gen Hoshino from "MIU404," will be appearing.
